From Wichita to Cyprus - A Slice of History
Pizza Hut began in 1958, when brothers Dan and Frank Carney opened the first restaurant in Wichita, Kansas with just $600 borrowed from their mother. What started as a small-town pizzeria has grown into the world’s most iconic pizza brand. In 1991, Pizza Hut arrived in Cyprus as the first international food franchise. We were pioneers, introducing food delivery in 1993, the first Call Center and the first national 7-digit number.
We’re proud to be the home of the Original Pan Pizza, the world’s first Stuffed Crust and favoUrites like the San Francisco and American Thin. We launched WingStreet in Europe and introduced Pasta Brava to Cyprus in 2023.With 33 restaurants, over 600 team members, and more than 600,000 pizzas served annually, we’ve been leading the Cyprus market for over 34 years, always using top-quality local ingredients, fast service and a smile.
